The CN2 signal cable for the Mitsubishi RP parallel-arm series is the specialized connection cable for signal transmission on the robot models RP-1AH, RP-3AH and RP-5AH. These parallel-arm robots require a dedicated CN2 cable that is matched to the special kinematics and cable routing.
Function of the CN2 signal cable on the parallel arm
On the RP parallel-arm robots, the CN2 cable transmits the signals for end effectors, tool sensors and additional I/O channels. The parallel-arm kinematics place special demands on the cable routing: the CN2 cable must follow the movements of all axes without signal quality or mechanical integrity being impaired.
