The Mitsubishi HC-MF23B servo motor is a compact axis drive from the proven HC-MF series in the B version, specifically for use in Mitsubishi industrial robots. As a brushless DC motor with integrated encoder, the HC-MF23B enables precise position control of smaller robot axes and impresses with its robust construction and long service life.
Technical features and function
The B variant of the HC-MF23 denotes a revised version with optimized thermal design and improved EMC. The motor is designed for the specific requirements of robotics: fast acceleration, precise braking and exact positioning. The permanent magnet technology delivers a high torque-to-weight ratio, which is particularly important for motors that are installed in moving axes and thus contribute to the total moment of inertia.
Installation position
The HC-MF23B is mainly used in the wrist axes (J4-J6) of compact 6-axis robots and in secondary axes of SCARA robots. In these positions, frame size and weight are decisive, as they directly influence the achievable dynamics of the wrist. The lighter and more compact the motor, the faster the robot can move to its end position.
