The Motor Assy J1/J2/J3 for the Mitsubishi RV-1A and RV-2AJ is a compact servo motor that serves as the drive for no fewer than three main axes of these compact robots. As a brushless DC motor with integrated encoder, it delivers the precise position control that is essential for fast pick-and-place tasks and precise assembly work.
Technical features and function
The identical design of the motor for axes J1, J2 and J3 is a design characteristic of the ultra-compact RV-1A/2AJ series. Thanks to the uniform motorization, all three main axes can be covered with a single spare part type — a considerable advantage for stockholding. The servo motor is characterized by its small frame size combined with high power density. The encoder delivers high-resolution position data for the closed control loop.
Installation position
- J1 (base): horizontal rotation of the entire arm
- J2 (shoulder): vertical swivel of the upper arm
- J3 (elbow): vertical swivel of the forearm
Despite the identical motor, the mechanical installation situation differs depending on the axis. Please specify the target axis when ordering.
