Function of the timing belt in the SCARA robot
Timing belts transmit the rotary motion of the servo motors to the robot’s axes. The position “J4 Above” designates the upper belt of the J4 axis unit. In case of wear, visible cracks or increased backlash, the timing belt should be replaced immediately to avoid positioning errors and production stoppages.
